John Rich on Cleveland's NPR program The Sound of Ideas

Dr. John Rich was featured on The Sound of Ideas program on Cleveland's NPR affiliate (90.3FM WCPN) on May 10 during a one-hour segment on youth violence. The Sound of Ideas®, heard weekday mornings, is hosted by Dan Moulthrop and Regina Brett. Focusing on topics and issues of significance to Northeast Ohio, the daily discussions on The Sound of Ideas are led by listener comments and questions, complemented by special guest experts who offer insight and opinion. Highlights of the show have included: job and economic outlooks; alternative energy; education, school funding and youth issues; regionalism; current reform efforts in the adult and juvenile justice systems; and ongoing coverage of local and state politics.

John A. Rich, M.D., M.P.H., is the chair of and a professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the Drexel University School of Public Health, where he is also the director of the Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice. A 2006 MacArthur Fellow, Rich founded the Young Men's Health Clinic in Boston and is the former medical director of the Boston Public Health Commission. He was elected to the Institute of Medicine in 2009.
